The Icebox

Constructed in the middle of the XVIII th Century to store the snow gathered in winter and to use it in summer.

The icebox is of circular plant of masonry and mortar of lime, of big diameter 14,8 m but with a few very narrow exterior walls ( 0,6m). It lost the original coverage, of which there are observed some points of the birth of arches of massive brick (realized in contiguous brickworks of the one that even remains observe) and at present it is possible to observe what there would be the nerves in metal. On the inside well it has two access doors to the east and west and has a 8,70 m of depth.
